Plan your next hunt at your town’s Hunt Steward. This update joins new progression support with clearer controls and stricter equipment-upgrade choices.
Build 87 follow-up: automatic Free Mode, combat feedback and testing benefits →
A clearer start and one place to plan your hunt
- Human starters receive Hardened training weapons and Cheap clothes. Existing untagged starter equipment is upgraded without replacing better tags.
- Devil starters receive Hardened training and next-class weapons, class armour and 60 Special Gems. Existing level 1–9 Devils receive the package too. The permanent account limit is three grants and 180 gems, including recreated characters.
- Find the Hunt Steward in Human town 1 at 290,118 or Devil town 9 at 451,875. Bounties, hunting scrolls and world-specific guides are together in a clearer journal with monster pictures and item tooltips. Other NPCs return to their normal menus.
- Bounties cover ordinary progression monsters. Choose one eligible weapon, armour, accessory, material bundle or progression potion. Human characters may choose their eligible weapon family; Devil choices follow their class. Equipment rolls with a Hardened, Rare, Epic or Intense tag.
- Bounty limits are shared across the account: one active hunt, three rewards per rolling 24 hours and one reward per monster family per 24 hours. Equipment is limited to one item per world and progression stage, and two equipment rewards per rolling seven days. Bounty potions are limited to one per 24 hours. Finished upgrade items are excluded.
Travel and town services
- Hunting scrolls now identify a named approach, with 78 destinations across both worlds. Pay Barr or POS. Higher hunting areas cost more; northern routes require discovery and appropriate access. War Spoils scrolls also require your world to own Continental.
- Hunting scrolls are account-bound: buy up to 10 per rolling 24 hours and hold up to 30 across both worlds, bags, belts, warehouses and pending deliveries. Ordinary town return scrolls are separate. Retired old hunting scrolls are removed.
- Human town equipment shops keep their familiar layout, with expanded attainable weapon, plate/metal, leather and cloth choices. Expanded gear is usually Hardened, with Rare possible. Limits are 10 equipment items per account per 24 hours and three per item family. Potions and materials are not part of this equipment limit.
- Vendor scrolling keeps rows stable. Enter can reopen your selected item with quantity one after a confirmed purchase. Eligible sales have a private two-hour buyback; the same sold item is returned. Original POS shops use their familiar shop window.
- Build 85 added warehouse keepers at the Human crafting stations and an extra Zarith beside the Infernal Craftsman at 381, 937 in town 9. Follow-up correction in build 86: the two added Human Warehouse Keepers beside the Reagent Table and Tanner were removed; other warehouses remain. Shared warehouses now unlock with Barr alone, without the 30/60-day waiting period.
Daily choices and progression
- Daily rewards clearly ask you to choose one reward bundle. Rested, Hunting Focus and the new purple Crafting Insight potions are alternatives to the other rewards, not extras. Potion bundles progress through 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 and 4 over the seven-day cycle, then return to day one.
- All Rested, Hunting Focus and Crafting Insight potions are account-bound and share a 32-potion account limit across both worlds and storage. Crafting Insight lasts 30 minutes: ordinary crafting-skill work rises from the existing 2× rate to 2.1×. It does not improve crafting success or action speed.
- The recent Human 2× progression boost is replaced by 4×, rather than multiplied again. The common eligible hunting EXP/stat/weapon-training base is now 117⅓× the original reference, up from 58⅔×, before other bonuses, eligibility, caps and rounding. Human magic-school gains double through their separate calculation. Human CON training also doubles. The existing 2× crafting training for both worlds remains; Devil non-crafting progression and charisma are unchanged.
- Eligible ordinary monster Moral gains increase by 25%, retaining the existing bands and caps. Attainable Human equipment with raw durability below 2,500 gains 30% base durability; values at or above 2,500 stay unchanged. Existing rolled items are not automatically repaired or recalculated.
Continental, the stones and weather
- Eligible Continental monster kills have a 35% chance to award POS: 0.1 in zone 14, 1 in zone 17 and 1.5 in War Spoils (43). The kill must qualify for EXP or STR, DEX or INT training. Weapon skill, Moral or charisma alone do not qualify. Ownership rules still apply.
- During active War of the Worlds, standing continuously on a stone earns 1 POS per full observed second. Leaving the stone, dying or an interruption resets the partial second. One character per account can earn occupation POS at a time. The existing two-of-three-stones victory rule remains. Public war results include recorded occupation POS alongside opponent gains and losses.
- Human rain restores HP and MP by 3% of actual damage dealt. Devil Blood Rain adds 3% direct hit/spell damage; Lava Rain applies a short burn worth 3% of damage dealt. Small status icons explain the active effect.
Loot pickup and party distribution
- Ground items and Barr can be picked up within two spaces, while walls and blocked corners still prevent pickup.
- Loot has one eight-second protection window. Parties can use killer, shared, leader, round-robin, random or named-collector distribution. Party choices do not extend protection against outsiders; there is no separate 30-second timer.
Equipment upgrades: read before spending
Speed upgrades have diminishing returns: actual reduction = min(base roll, floor((current weapon delay − 200 ms) × 0.15)). This uses the current item delay on each attempt, including +6–+8 and direct gem speed upgrades. At 700, 500, 400 and 300 ms, the maximum reductions are 75, 45, 30 and 15 ms. The rolled bonus may be smaller. At 206 ms or below the rounded cap is zero, so no speed upgrade is applied or consumed. This is not a flat percentage reduction of total delay.
- Equipment upgrades are deliberately harder. At crafting skill 100, attempts to reach +1 through +8 have base success chances of 40%, 35%, 30%, 25%, 17.5%, 15%, 10% and 5%. Your highest permanent crafting skill adds up to five percentage points by 200, plus half a point for each additional profession at 200.
- Every valid failed upgrade consumes one upgrade material. Failed attempts through +5 leave the item exactly unchanged. Failed attempts to reach +6, +7 or +8 destroy it. Check the confirmation before proceeding. Leech and accessory tracks use the same skill-scaled upgrade chances at their attempted level. Their cap is +5, so failure consumes the material and preserves the item.
Interface and everyday fixes
- Normal and compact HUDs have clearer glass-effect bars, better-aligned values and smaller controls. Hovering EXP shows actual progress before rested reserve. Spell-belt icons fit their frames; the quest tracker is more compact and supports quests and bounties.
- Options now bring combat-number controls together and include an optional personal overhead HP bar with an assignable shortcut. Incoming player damage and misses are visible to the recipient; exact outgoing player figures are restricted to eligible party relationships. Grey status uses a smaller skull marker and darker name.
- Account switching and re-entering the world are more reliable. Character selection uses the new music, looping from 0.54 seconds. Random symbols in stat-increase messages are corrected.
- Portal markers are remembered after discovery or use; town 1 and 9 entrances are immediately visible. Entry to zones 41, 42 and 43 requires level 90. Trace and Master Trace retain their intended local-direction and cross-map location behaviour.
- Wardrobe selection and saving are corrected, including the Devil spear/axe class mapping. Existing Leech acquisition, previously released progression content and war-result history are preserved.
